Rudy Ratzinger, es el mentor bajo el nombre de Wumpscut. Sus inicios se remontan a 1990, cuando comienza su viaje por la escena EBM industrial. Para ello crea su propio sello Beton Kopf Media, para dar rienda suelta a su creatividad, la que ha sido constante y prolífica. 

Durante 2017 se tomo un receso, volviendo con su sonido furioso en 2020, continuando hasta la fecha editando discos, recopilaciones y realizando trabajos como Dj Dwarf

Navegando en internet descubrí  a este dúo formado por  Markus Popp y la vocalista Eriko Toyoda. Grande fue mi sorpresa al saber que Markus Popp es integrante de la banda Oval y Microstoria, por ello el sonido tan peculiar y conocido, para quienes ya han escuchado trabajos de las bandas antes  mencionadas.

 Una mezcla entre IDM, Glitch y un aroma Indie, provocado por la voz de Eriko Toyoda en varios de sus temas.

Experimentación, minimalismo, sobriedad y sutileza se entrelazan en este disco, único, realizado por esta dúo, bajo el sello Thrill Jockey, que se  merece un lugar importante en tu discoteca.

Alex Mauri es el verdadero nombre de este Dj y productor francés, el cual desde muy joven, se vio encaminado por la música, tocando en algunas bandas, hasta conocer la electrónica y decidir que este era su camino.

Ha editado algunos albums y varios Eps, siempre ligado al sonido House y Tecno, con el cual ha logrado reconocimiento, y una carrera ascendente.

Esta es una de esas bandas que con una forma tan disonante surgen y crean toda una forma de expresión musical, incluso más alla de un estilo personal.

Blonde Redhead nace en los 90, conformandose por Maki Takahashi (bajo) y los gemelos italianos Simone Pace (batería) y Amedeo Pace (guitarra y voz), más la expresiva y siempre especial voz de la japonesa Kazu Makino (guitarra y voz), la que con el correr del tiempo le da ese aura mágica a la banda.

Su primer disco "Blonde Redhead" 1995, fue producido por Steve Shelley, baterista de Sonic Youth, lo que en cierta forma se siente al escucharlo, hay ciertos parametros muy similares entre ambas bandas.Tiempo después del lanzamiento de este disco, Maki Takahashi dejó la banda y ese mismo año el trío lanzó otro álbum titulado "La Mia Vita Violenta", en el que de a poco van mutando a un sonido más fresco y personal.

Luego editan "Fake Can Be Just As Good" 1997, y "in Expression of The Inexpressible" 1998, en donde dejan claro ya que son una banda totalmente consolidada y que su vision alternativa y poco convencional ya se habia ganado un lugar en la música.

"Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons" 2000, "Misery is a Butterfly" 2004, continuan entregando nuevas facetas de la banda, la que ya ha escalado al sello 4AD, que continua con "23" 2007, y "Penny Sparkle" 2010.

La particularida de su sonido, la mezcla vocal, y su constante busqueda por facetas musicales renovadas, los hace un banda diferente, intrigante, seductora, un refresco para vacios emocionales y un bálsamo para regocijos mentales.

La mitología de la electrónica en su etapa mas creativa,inteligente e innovadora, dice que Sean Booth y Rob Brown formaron Autechre en los comienzos de los 90. De ahí en adelante la forma de percibir lo que se llamaria IDM cambio.

Con una extensa trayectoria en la electronica mas abstracta y cerebral, este duo logra traspasar a cada paso una barrera más en el campo de la experimentacion y de nuevas propuestas. SI bien clásicos como Incunabula, Amber o el de culto Tri Repetae, son la esencia de su sonido, discos como el Confield, Draft 7.30 o el Quaristice, caminan por una busqueda mas meticulosa e impredecible, abriendose a nuevas propuestas que  de seguro seguiran cimentando el gran camino ya recorrido por este duo ingles, que a cada paso va dejando un forma y un concepto en su manera de crear y proponer su forma musical.

Funkstorung

Es un duo Aleman compuesto por  Christian de Luca y  Michael Fakesch, los que comenzaron en la musica

a principos de los 90. Siempre ligados a un sonido entre minimalista, experimental y con ciertos tintes hip hop, de apoco fueron sonando y haciendose conocidos en el mundo del IDM y el glitch.

Con ideas bactante eclecticas por momentos logran editar una serie de eps y albums a mediados de los 90, en  el que destacan "Additional Productions","Appetite of Distruction, ambos en el sello !K7.

Ya con una mayor bagaje, son reconocidos masivamente, comparandolos en cierta medida con Autechre, lo que de por si les valio un salto en sus expectativas.

Si bien las diferencias son claras con esta banda, hay momentos que los recuerda, pero Funkstorung juega un poco mas con sonidos más conocidos y reconocidos, ademas utiliza voces en la mayoria de su temas.

La linea musical de esta banda recorre muchos espacios y los recrea de manera ingeniosa, los remodela y los nutre de un aire nuevo, descompniendolos, descontruyendolos o simplemente reinventandolos. 

Un duo que propone un sonido rico en propuestas, que de la mano del tecno y la experimentación, revive en cada beat.
